Continuous cycle

Registration is only the beginning

After you receive a number, reporting, payments, renewals and rule changes continue. SMBF connects them in one operational process.

PPWR and national EPR

Two compliance layers, one packaging data foundation

PPWR is the EU packaging regulation applicable from 12 August 2026, with transitional rules. It covers product design, documentation and labelling. National packaging EPR registration and country reporting still apply where you place packaged goods on the market.

We track the impact on your business, not just the news

We review laws, registries, PRO and representative requirements, rates, forms, deadlines, marketplace requirements and portal changes, including PPWR and national packaging EPR. We then connect each change to your entities, countries, products and reporting periods.

  • Laws and official guidance
  • Rates, minimum charges and environmental coefficients
  • Forms, categories and deadlines
  • Portals, delays and known obstacles

Why the result can be trusted

The answer, basis and limitation stay together

SMBF shows not only the conclusion, but also the review date, official source and facts that shaped the decision.

01Official source

A law, government registry or authorised system.

02Unknown does not mean zero

If a rate depends on a contract, the result shows ‘quote required’.

The essentials

What to know before you start

You can start with one country and a free preliminary assessment.

What is PPWR and do I still need national packaging EPR reports?+

PPWR is the EU packaging regulation applicable from 12 August 2026 with transitional rules. National packaging EPR registration and country reporting still apply where you place packaged goods on the market. SMBF tracks both layers separately.

Does monitoring all 27 countries mean full service in all 27?+

No. Monitoring requirements and carrying out the work are different capabilities. Each country shows what is confirmed separately.

Should the company’s home country be assessed?+

Yes. An obligation can also arise in the country of establishment, so it is not excluded automatically.

Is there one registration number for the whole EU?+

No. Registration and operator contracts are normally arranged separately in each country where an obligation arises.

Does SMBF already submit reports automatically in every country?+

No. The filing method depends on national rules, client or partner authority and what is available in that country.

Does SMBF replace a lawyer?+

No. The system organises data and workflow; unusual legal conclusions are confirmed by the responsible party or a specialist.
