What is PPWR?
PPWR is Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste. It is an EU law, not the name of the smbf.me product.
What is EPR?
Extended producer responsibility is a policy and legal model assigning organisational or financial responsibility to a producer for packaging at its waste stage.
Are PPWR and EPR the same thing?
No. PPWR is a regulation. EPR is a responsibility model implemented through the applicable EU and national laws, registers, schemes, and procedures.
Is there one packaging EPR registration for the whole EU?
No. Registrations, identifiers, schemes, reporting routes, and fees normally remain country-specific. smbf.me provides one coordination workspace for those separate processes.
Does being outside the EU automatically make us the producer?
Not by itself. Establishment, destination, who first makes the packaging available, the recipient, importer, fulfilment route, and the applicable definition all matter.
Is this website legal advice?

Are PRO, register, and representative fees included?
